To start, in case you haven't heard of King's Field, it's a budget series of first person dungeon crawlers that got its start in 1994, was made by From Software (the makers of Dark Souls), and is very similar to Ultima Underworld. As opposed to the predecessors, the protagonist can swim underwater for a limited amount of time.Hey all, I wanted to take some time to make the TTLG community aware of King's Field, Sword of Moonlight, and a fan-made game I've been developing for nearly a year and am close to finishing. Like in the previous games, every NPC can be attacked and killed. Weapons and armor slowly deteriorate, but a blacksmith can repair them. Magic is handled in a similar way, with spells increasing in power and raising Devian's magic points when used. Repeatedly attacking with the same weapon raises its level, eventually allowing more powerful attacks with it. There are four types of weapons in the game: swords, clubs, axes, and bows. Its core gameplay mechanics are similar to those of the predecessors: the player must explore vast interconnected areas and fight hostile creatures and weapons and magic. The Ancient City is a first-person action role-playing game and the fourth entry in the King's Field series.
